Proteus or Fire for Mac users, but I must say I use iChat more frequently.

mirc for irc, trillian with icq, y! and msn accounts.

For me it used to be ICQ, but now MSN.
ICQ is far superior.

I used to use MSN quite a bit but now I've moved on. I use ICQ as my IM and I use XChat for Windows when I'm on IRC. At the moment, I can say that the only Microsoft applications I use are my OS, Outlook Express, and IE once in a while. I'm proud of myself. ;)

If you've got more than one client.. you will probably need more than one IM app. Get Trillian ( www.trillian.cc ).. It connects to ICQ, AOL, MSN, Yahoo!, and IRC.. all in one interface.
Clear up your task bar fellas.

aim and msn.
I've known about trillian for a while, but never tried it out.
I guess when/if I do I'll come back to this topic and post about it.

Most of the people on my contact lists are from AIM but I use Trillian to connect to ICQ, Yahoo, and MSN as well.

i just use aim because 4 years ago icq was the most bloated program on earth and i hate hate hated it, i have no clue what its like now but its owned by aol so im sure at some point icq and aim will merge and aol will try and charge all of its users a fee or something. trillian...... eh, are they still trying to do that 'pay for the pro version' bs?
