Watched first two episodes and thought it was boring as hell. So slow.
Does it get better?
- You didn't even see them hit England?! oh man.sem
- Worth sticking with it?set
- I only got into the second season, it's pretty goodmonospaced

It's not bad, but for being on the History Channel I wonder how accurate any of it really is. It's like they just wanted to create their own version of Game of Thrones.
- Actually I take that back, being on the History Channel you should expect it not to be accurate.ukit2
- http://en.wikipedia.… More mythology-based than actual historyhereswhatidid
- Ragnar might not have excised, but the Vikings ways and the attacks on England etc were true.sem
- *existedsem
- I just mean it's not a hardcore historical documentary. Personally I think it's a great show.hereswhatidid

its hard to beat a show like GoT wich is so rich and super well done. They raised the standard so high, other tv shows looks like school video in comparison

If you like Fantasy, World Of Warcraft type stuff then yeah, G.O.T
But if you like History and a story based around actual proven events then Vikings is the one.
I personally find the history of the Vikings much more fascinating over midgets and dragons.
- I believe "imps" are the preferred nomenclature, you insensitive bastard. =)DRIFTMONKEY

I think they're both (GOT & Vikings) pretty fucking nerdy...
... and I haven't missed an episode of either. :)

You think Vikings is nerdy?
Do explain.

As a Scand the first noticeable annoyance happens a few seconds in the first episode and continues foreverafter: utterly ridiculous (yet understandable) that everyone speaks English in it. Not even a wee bit of a Scandinavian accent in there which could have aided with a bit of believed authenthicity.
Followed by a lot of ridiculous attitudes and decisiouns that doesn't really reflect the Vikings nature.
First they fuck up "Odin" (sigh. Spelling) and Thor (double sigh), now this.
However...
Fun show "even if not accurate".
Also, glad that people have a bit of new-found interest in Vikings.
Will watch again.
- Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård) is Swedish and very much sounds so. As does Ragnor no?sem
- Dude, that's like saying it's ridiculous that they didn't speak ancient Greek in 300monospaced
- sem, they don't sound "Scandic" to me.
mono, I suppose so. But 300 won't be on a "History Channel"Peter
