I'm researching options for a client who wants a digital, standalone app/brochure for new starters. They currently give out a printed version but they've got with the 90s and now want video and buttons.
It would be sent out to new staff before they start, so needs to work away from the intra-/internet, eg. on a thumb drive.
I don't think Adobe DPS is the answer, since that's mobile/tablet only I believe?
I'm also not keen on that page-flip nonsense which Google keeps telling me about.Any suggestions of how to do such a thing?
Cheers.

Thanks for those - issuu is online only (I think).
Readymag looks interesting... it's on the list!Making this an offline/standalone thing might well become a P.I.T.A.

Why not just do it in HTML?
If the user is receiving the brochure on a thumb drive (they'll have to be viewing it on a laptop / pc— something w/a USB port)... Logic dictates the 'new starter' would have a browser regardless of OS / device, yes?
Package all the assets into read-only folder w/a single HTML file to lead them into everything labeled something simple like 'Start_Here.html'
?

Discounting the seemingly endless number of page-flip apps it seems to come down to Yurimon and PonyBoy's suggestions. Thanks Qoob as always.
