  I've allways liked the mothers of invention, but felt a lot of Zappa's later stuff was a bit daft. And you had to wade though a lot of second rate stuff to find the gems...

  Now Beefheart, he's the man!
  And he could paint.

  The probelm was he signed contracts with any lable going at the same time... and could'nt understand when he ended being sued. That messed up his recording for most of the 70's.
