  i remember this latino comic, george lopez i think, making fun of folks that can't handle any spice...they'd be eating some super mild salsa and start gasping for air...oh no...mopping the sweat from their brow...i can't take this heat!...what is that?..is that tomato?

  i brought back a bottle of Pataks lime pickle once to my folks house (who aren't exactly keen on anything spicy) you'd think i'd brought a bomb into the house...lol...

  i think maybe it's not really about the spiciness or the heat...more than anything its just usually something that just seems like a crazy foriegn idea to 'heat' up foods....a lot of folks don't seem to get it..

  and yet...they'll drown ANYTHING in fucking ketchup...now THAT i'll never understand...
