France - Paris / Cannes

Been to Paris quite a few times. My French is average, but I got by well enough.
Depending on your timetables, I'd stay in the hustle and bustle of Paris for a day or so, maybe two, see the sites, get out and go to Cannes or Nice on the coast. Much better time you'll have, unless you have a contact in Paris and / or speak French, you're probably going to overwhelmed. Maybe also check out Saint-Raphaël and Antibes. You'll have fonder memories of the trip in general, IMO.
