    An advice : learn a few words : "Bonjour Monsieur" and "Bonjour Madame", "Excusez-moi"...
    You'll see that a lot of french speak english after those words !

    You will may be surprise and deceived by Paris if you expect to see what you saw in movies... Unfortunatly, Paris didn't stuck it its 60's
    For your walk in paris :

    lot of options :
    but before all :
    AVOID :
    -Champs elysees
    -Chatelet les Halles

    Use public transportation with caution.
