I don't have children but I hang out with my friend's kids a lot. I seem to be surrounded by 4 year olds.
Yesterday I invited a friend over to work on our motorcycles; once we got done, ordered the necessary parts, we played ball with his son. It should be noted he wanted to know what we were doing & why. He said "Why.." several times followed by an interested "Oh." never fidgeting with tools or parts.
When we started playing, it was basketball first and he got at least 60% from underneath the 10ft basket, he was bouncing off the back board and everything. Then football, throwing wobbly spirals across the 3 car driveway. After going back to his dad's house, we played baseball where he hit several balls past and over his father...
Strange considering he was wearing his soccer uniform all day complete with shinguards from a game earlier in the day in which he scored on his own team.
I love that kid.
