i've got a mac pro paired with a 24" mac led. love it, gets the job done but i think when it's time to move on i will be looking at a giant-ass imac and use my monitor as a secondary.
other than the ability to slide in new drives and maybe at one time it was a powerful beast, i don't see the need for the mac pro anymore personally.
imo just ram the sh*t out of an imac and buy external drives as required.
