    and some more advice .....

What kind of paint would you use to get drippign effect like this work from Gian Garofalo.

I'm guessing that it's quite fluid but also has some agent mixed in so that paint drips dry solid. and imagine it tales a LOT of patience!

    • that's simple oil paint add some walnut oil to achieve this effect but be aware that it dries slower :)sted
    • or yo can use linseed oil as an alternative, it will make the paint more flexible but it doesn't age very wellsted
    • cheers :)microkorg
    • diluting artist oil paints for this will cost you a fortune and won't really end up flowing like that.Gnash
    • you are better off using high quality house paint - alkyd. you can get small 'sample' jars from house paint storesGnash
    • even house enamel would work well hereGnash
    • For drips like that, you likely need to use a 2 part resin like epoxy or polyester resin. They dry glossy, and will set in a few hours, as opposed to monthsmonNom
    • Mix acrylic paint into it. Acrylic alone will shrink as it dries and loses it's water content.monNom
    • ^ you're right about the house paint, if it's too thick it will shrink as it driesGnash
    • Doing drip painting takes tons of time, prep and practice...getting the viscosity of the paint right is a killer.see_thru
    • ahh shippings a bitch with this onedasohr
