    Almost all design processes that individuals or agencies “develop and brand” can be traced back to the classic double diamond method and theory.

    In my opinion, each phase of your process should have an objective (not a tangible artifact, although it’s fine to have that as well) that gives you a sense of “okay I can move on to the next phase now.” For example your initial discovery phase might have an objective of “develop empathize, understand the problem.” The various tools, workshops, et al., that you conduct within each phase can be fluid. I’ve never thought of any design process as needing to be rigid or prescriptive.
