don't complain scarabin. you have your mp3 playlists, what music you're currently listening to, a bunch of blury photos from your summer vacation, and a whole lot of other personal crap on your site - http://www.scarabin.net

and no one gives a flying fuck what you look like sitting in front of your computer.

But anyway, scarabin, what did you have for lunch? What were your thoughts on the toilet today? And did you pick up anything interesting at the mall?
- Jnr_Madison0
No offence, but your site is basically one big blog.

if you haven't noticed the webcam hasn't been on since like 2001.
the mp3 playlist is up because a friend urged me to add it to the site, and will be cut in the redesign i'm working with along with the outdated webcam thing.

and no, it's nothing at all like a blog. it's a collection of personal design projects and resume / contact information.

I prefer a good Blog to watching Fox News.
Though the bullshit factor is equal on both.

Didn't Doc Brown invent the Flux Capacitor after hitting his head in the bathroom?
i think that woulda' been a note worthy blog.

You shouldn't hate blogs.
There are blogs for everyone.
There are some useful blogs for designers. flash users and so on.

"and no, it's nothing at all like a blog. it's a collection of personal design projects and resume / contact information. "

• scarabin you whiny bitch, the only difference from you site to a blog is that you dont use Moveable Type.
you might as well be in a web clique.
you dont care about other peoples lifes?
"things that worry me:"
why do you want other to know what worries you?stop your crying, is bad enough you look like a girlm dont act like one too :p
and not all blogs are about feelings. here's a blog that gets more hits in one day than your website has since it launched
http://slashdot.org/also i love that you want to share your feelings with us, how weB LOGing of you.

i'm simply venting my annoyance with pointless blogs. i'm certain there are blogs out there that have valid content, and i'm all for them. but for the most part i've found them to be a boring, vapid trend in internet "culture".
to answer your question, my site is different from a blog in that:
1) it's not a fucking blog; and
2) the only thing even remotely bloglike to it is my photojournal, which started as a way to organize the ridiculous amounts of photography i did when i first got my camera and has since petered out into an update-maybe-once-a-month type thing.i would never propose to bore people with pages and pages of boring monologue about what happened to me on the way to work. the intent of the site is to serve as a showcase of my work and skills in a pseudo-marketable way. the profile page and everything on it is a pretty standard thing for such a site.
scarabin.net is no more a blog than newstoday.
i added disclaimerish "/vent" tag to the beginning and end of my initial post to warn people, but newstoday ate them.
it's funny to see you people get all excited and start throwing names around, though. oh, and saying i look like a girl was a nice touch. that definitely helps your argument.
