yeah dude, tfs is right, you are silly.
you are not your clothes.
- abstrakt0
you won't see some geek in high school wearing gucci...
- abstrakt0
and how the hell can you disagree with that? that better looking people care more about their clothes? that's so true it's weird you guys don't agree. i think you're just being defensive.

abstrakt, you're looking more silly with ever post.. i DARE you to make another one! hahahahaahah

Dude I really wish you would just get some self-esteem so I don't have to see $200 jeans when I'm shopping.

haha. abstrakt, if you make another post about "better looking people wearing better clothes" you just solidify how shallow you are, the brands have you WHIPPED ! did that gucci model with no shirt and a nasty smack habit that gets payed to look sincere for suckers like you in the magazines tell you that ?
- abstrakt0
me have self esteem? i have plenty. you don't understand buying nice clothes? this is freaking weird, especially on a design site. i feel lik ehaving to explain why art is beautiful. damn this is weird.
- tfsmag0
maybe you should go to the gucci site and explain why you fell for their high fashion marketing to easily influenced weirdos!

abstrakt = metro sexual. :)

sorry abstrakt, I'm being a harsh asshole to you. Don't take it personally, just do what makes you happy. I DO think it's silly how much they are over-charging people though. That is something to bitch about when the material probably cost $5.
- abstrakt0
tfsmag, i've never bought gucci, and i never will. it's overpriced and just isn't very cool unless you're doing a photoshoot. like i said, the jeans i wear the most were $29, but i'll be dammed if i'd wear some generic pair of levis. they're ugly, imo. they're boring and i won't wear them.

man, on a design site like this.. It's amazing that more people aren't arguing this. Art has nothing to do with material possessions. or the way you dress.. or act, or speak or your status in this sick cesspool that we call society.
- tfsmag0
maybe you just don't have the body for them :)
- abstrakt0
fate, i konw, you actually aren't even accusing me of something valid, since i'm not arguing that everyone should buy expensive clothes. i think it's stupid to buy something for $200 bucks that you could get something almost just like it for $50. i'm just saying, if you buy clothes just to buy clothes and not care about how they look, i think it's weird you can call yourself a designer. i don't mean to insult anybody, but hey, this thread asked for each person's view :)
- tfsmag0
dude try working out, or drinking less fancy beer to make you look better in your levis :/
- abstrakt0
me? i have a great body. lots of muscle, 6-pack... girls say i should model, but, i'd rather design.

I don't think it's a matter of "not caring," It's knowing the difference between dressing yourself comfortably and buying an identity.
- tfsmag0
OMFG pics? i have like 1 or 2 girls here that wanna see
- tfsmag0
cmon pixel digital, i know you have to have like ten dozen pics of you in your designer jeans somewhere!

"Judging somebody on their clothes is shallow."
isn't that what design is all about? telling people about something by the way it's packaged...
we are, after all, simply selling ourselves. to girls, to potential friends and associates, to the world.
it all comes down to how you choose to present yourself.
you can give someone a gift and wrap it in a paper bag, or you can have it wrapped in beautiful paper. don't knock the paper just because it isn't _neccessary_.
