there is flops in the NBA ,
NFL has taking a knee

(Jun 22 06, 08:37)taking a knee in the NFL is the same as being a limpdick pussy crying man grabing your ankle & sobbing even after everyone else runs on & no ones watching you anymore?? I dont think so. Taking a knee is just to avoid people hurtling themselves into each other when it can't possibly affect the outcome of the game.

Wow yeah I didnt know about the red card for the dive in the Mex game. Penalties are great I just don't understand how the refs fall for all the acting. Sometimes it's soooo blatant. You watch a replay and a guy doesn't even get touched, falls, rolls around for a minute holding his leg and gets a penalty kick!

I mean, i can understand the diving & trying to draw the foul.. but lying on the floor crying & grabing your ankle when no one touched you is just shamefull - that's not a man's sport.

tommy, that shit happens in the NBA allday long too.

i just puked in my mouth a little bit

Dobs,
The point is, in the NBA...you get a free throw, say you score both points...doesn't make that big of a difference. In football, you shoot a penatly kick and score...it's a good chance your team just won.

hey, at least we qualified with a country that has probably about a 25% interest in soccer. makes you wonder about the countries which didn't even qualify that are gung-ho soccer.
just based on the sheer size of the country, if we were even 50% into soccer i think we could field a team of 11 guys that could make a serious run for the finals. no?

(Jun 22 06, 08:59)dude, it was a joke. and, who's to say he was a midfielder or forward? his job could be to soley draw cards. everyone plays their parts.

I'm excited about Ghana, watched them whup up on the Czechs, good for them. They'll prolly end up facing Brazil, if they manage to beat them, i'll start painting myself their colors and go yell for them at the bah. Unless they play Germany, that is.
US will have a solid team sometime soon, the support is still growing here. As this old codger at the bar always says "Too many goddamned sports on TV these days."

US has a good team, in about 10 years they will definitely be something to watch. They need to get rid of Landon Donavan, just a hyped up player. Brian McBride is far better striker.
But seriously if US did manage to move out of group stages, they were going to face Brazil and there is no they were going to beat them.
