Good show.
I watch waaay too many TV shows, as many of you know, but I don't think I've watched one that is really similar to this.
I fell into the needs-immediate-gratification category of people because I was hoping the whole thing would be explained in the first episode, and then a new story would emerge in the second. I was so wrong.

i like this one. the wife got me hooked. also, their whole web and marketing campaign is just really nice and strong. but i have to admit i dont know what the hell is going on half the time.

That's what I was worried about when I first watched the show. The legal terms were unfamiliar, but it was still interesting enough to keep up with it. Thankfully it's not too hard to get the basic premise of each episode. The rest of the stuff kind of works itself out.

Yeah, I really like how they are slowly unraveling the story and just feeding us pieces. I think at the end when we have the whole story we will be able to go back and see just how well planned the whole thing was. At least thats what I am hoping for.
Fav bit so far, killing of that poor dog and Patty throwing the collar out to the water.

It's cool to see Danson play a bad guy. Too bad he's only in it for the first season, apparently.

Danson deserves an Emmy!!! He is great in this role. He's come a long way since Cheers and his relationship with Whoopi Goldberg.

I don't want him back next season. While he's great for this season, I don't think his story should continue. It would get boring after hearing about his story for 13-ish episodes.
Also, he basically plays himself in "Curb Your Enthusiasm". Pretty well too.

I have never even heard of this show...

Holy 3rd-last episode!
SPOILERS
I didn't see that suicide coming...but I did predict Ray's relationship with Gregory. I kept saying to myself that it was just an awkward friendship, but then realized that it was creepy and there was something more going on with Ray. He seemed very emotional, but bottled everything up (which you could see in his face everytime he talked to Gregory, and then he hungrily kissed Greg because it had all been inside of him for a while). This really makes sense if he was a closeted homosexual or bisexual. Greg seemed to be genuinely into Katie, David's sister, so his rejection of Ray's advanced was consistent.
As for my theories, I think Lila killed David because she's a crazy stalker woman, but I honestly don't know who went after Ellen. Some people suggest it could've been Patty's son. Since his "recovery" seems like total bullshit. Maybe he came into the house to kill his mother, Patty, or do something else in the house, not knowing that Ellen was there. Seems like a viable theory. However, in the flashbacks it really looks like the guy who attacked Ellen was bigger and taller than Patty's son.
Also, I don't know how Frobisher plays into this. He's trapped in a life that is way over his head, yet doesn't seem too keen on killing people off when he feels like it.

Jaline:
Put the remote down.
Turn off the TV.
Go and play outside.
Seriously.
- Jaline0
hah, I watch these on my laptop.
And, not to be offensive, but most people here don't actually know what I do on a daily basis.
- madirish0
i do.

Jaline, you should be a tv show critic/reviewer. :)
Here's my question: would Patty really choose to drive a Caddy? I think not.
- Jaline0
I think so too, monkey. I am studying Media Studies and am currently figuring out if I want to do a Masters or just go into the field.

mad, you probably know a bit more than most people here. can't wait for school to be over...
Anyway, back to "Damages"...
