Like most studios I've worked in, we have a hifi where people plug their ipods in and play music all day. This leads to a bit of a monopoly music wise by people who sit near the hifi.
Has anyone ever found an app that allows for a kind of jukebox system?
Preferably where people can select songs from itunes and choose to play them, they then get added to a playlist and cued up.No idea if something like that exists. But it would make things more democratic. We could have a designated computer just for playing music.
Shared itunes would work but someone still has to choose the songs.

We have a hifi hooked up to one of the macs with iTunes set to random. We can add whatever music we want to it or pick playlists etc but really, randomise it and yer golden.

We use last.fm
It play random tunes from whatever genre/tag you pick.
The "80s" tag have been playing for almost 2 months now.

We use a Macpro with speakers. Playing the radio or when that gets shite, 52 days worth of music on itunes.... or yes last.fm. Sometimes FMT from here....
It depends.... but I am in charge so whatever I want everyone else has to listen to.

Whatever system you have, you've got to have someone with total autocratic command to skip over the daft shit. Like, Hocus Pocus by Focus. Someone must have veto power.
