With the final update package for firefox 2 now deployed, I thought this would be a good time for yet another firefox 3 thread.
I haven't tried 3 yet, but I figure it's been around long enough now that many of the initial bugs have been worked out.
Who here uses 3? Who still uses 2? Does anyone test their websites in both?

I use 2 on my main machine and have 3 on my laptop. No issues, just keeping the different versions for testing.

I use 3. it crashes sometimes. Its generally fine. I don't really know what else to say. Merry Christmas?

I use 3. Not a lot of noticeable difference from 2. Useful to keep 2 on your system for testing as it doesn't support the CSS property "display: inline-block;"

I use both...random choice on startup...I also test on both to deliver.
will keep testing on 2 for the next few month probably.and I dont like ff3 as I liked ff2;-) it's homing fone every day, updates quite frequently and needs in my opinion to much attention all time...but the browser is ok.

I thought I was the last person to move on to 3 a few months ago. It is considerably faster. It renders better on a mac. It has a nice zoom feature (resizes whole pages, not text only).
I hate its awesomebar, the all too smart address bar. I have some addon to make it behave normally again.

thanks guys for the input.
giving this thread one final bump for the west coast morning crew.
if any of you have installations of both 2 and 3 running, did you create the separate profile thing I've been reading about online on do you just go for it?

Only problem with ff3 is it slows down after a while and I need to dump cache to get back to normal.
- yep. me too.Gucci

i have refresh issues, after opening up so many tabs, and switching back and forth the pages start to overlap each other, happens once a day at least , with FF3
I have been using Opera as well cause it gets annoying when the screens freeze and overlap

Firefox 2 still around? Wow and i thought people liked to live in the edge.

Only issue I have with FX3 is that I leave it open pretty much all the time. And after a few hibernations to and from work and the like, it freezes up and doesn't load anything when I hit refresh or click on links.
So I just have to hard kill it and restart.
Just upgraded to whatever this thing was earlier though.
I guess I've had trepidation on upgrading IE at times, but never FX...
