thats it? their logos suck? and therefor pentagram sucks? something tells me you really just don't understand the full breadth of what a company like pentagram does and why they are so good at it.
you're basing your decision on your own purely aesthetic opinions, which mean very little unless you prove your own credibility. as in, why are you in a position to make such a blanket statement, what would you compare them to that "doesnt suck"? etc.- an opinion can be based on whatever they like, its just thier opinion....********

threadpost is right! They didn't just have to make that logo! They had to present it to the client too! On a big piece of paper, no less!
Hell, they might have gone all out and projected it from a projector! The logo! The logo would have been HUGE! 6 foot tall across the whiteboard!

You guys need to chill. Obviously the thread title was just an attention grabber... which worked quite well. You have to admit some of their recent stuff is boring. What about this logo makes you want to eat at Ruby Tuesday?

I think the Ruby Tuesday logo is refreshing actually. Given that it's a chain like Applebess, Chili's, TGI Friday and the like, the strainght forwardness works wonders.

my question is, how does Pentagram structure it's financial/earnings system? does every partner get the same amount of $$$ ? Is a relatively new partner such as Luke Hayman (joined 2006) as equal of a partner financially as a Paula Scher (joined 1991)? How do they make that work fairly? Who shells out for things like rent, etc. in such a system as theirs?
