Oh come on:
* “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” (Paramount and Warner Bros.)
* “Frost/Nixon” (Universal)
* “Milk” (Focus Features)
* “The Reader” (The Weinstein Company)
* “Slumdog Millionaire” (Fox Searchlight)Which one of those was any good? I don't know maybe i'm stuck in the film world so it simple shit doesn't really impresses me but even if i wasn't those are all subpar, very, very average productions.

Well, even last year we had "No Country for Old Men" and "There Will Be Blood" both films that were more then just run-of-the-mill directing exercises as the films of thsi year.

"Slumdog", "Milk" and "Frost/Nixon" - all very good. Shame on them for leaving out "The Dark Knight", "The Visitor", "The Wrestler", or"Rachel Getting Married."
- pr2-3
With some of the titles i don't even have a desire to watch any of it.
Before you even watch "No Country for Old Men" and "There Will Be Blood" there is already some poetry with the title. ..."Rachel Getting Married" or "The Dark Knight"... i mean wtf?

hey pr2 ... I dont mean to sound like a dick ... but I'd like to see you put a movie like Benjamin Buttons together ...
its all about a well told story and I have seen 3 of the above mentioned films and the stories to all 3 I thought were really good
- u really think that Button was a "well told story"?pr2
- ummm YEAH!!!!Ramanisky2
- It was not a good story.kgvs72

I haven't seen any of them, and I'll probably only like about two of them, but I'm tempted to disagree with you anyway
- harlequino0
like Ramansky, don'tmean to sound like a dick, but...
I realize you fancy yourself quite the DP and fuck chicks from kraft services in the ass and all that, but let's be honest. If Fincher, Boyle, Howard, or Van Sant called you to work on any of the flicks you're trashing, you'd be on your knees mouth open waitin for the saucy contract, and hypin the flick at oscar time.

Ramanisky2, almost every production i shoot (and i shoot looooots of low budget shit) has the same camera coverage as the Button. I can tell you that the director wasn't inspired making this film at all. He's got some cred as he did "Fight Club" and "Seven" but with the project it was run of the mill shit for him and he just didn't care. There is nothing inspirational in it at all (i'm talking from filmmakers perspective, so yours might be a bit different).
- I'm pretty sure he spent countless sleepless nights putting this movie togetherRamanisky2
- I didn't see any flaws with the look of the movie .. as far as the story .. you either liked it or you didn'tRamanisky2
- you are bit of an arrogant mediocre twat eh?tank02
- skt0
if only fincher didn't care. i might have gotten some of my 400 or so comps for online reach pieces past him. believe me, he had control over absolutely every minute detail relating to with that film.
but i guess, you're talking about it from a film makers persepctive.
