Microsoft photoshopped a white man's head into the Polish version of an ad. Bad enough but they forgot to change his hands.
"Bloggers have had a field day with the story, with some suggesting Microsoft was attempting to please all markets by having a man with both a white face and a black hand.
"The white head and black hand actually symbolise interracial harmony. It is supposed to show that a person can be white and black, old and young at the same time," said one blogger on the Photoshop Disasters blog. "
you just failed at QBNing.
but it's ok.
they both look altered to me.
is that a macbook on the table?
I agree it sends out a wrong message.
shit............best start clearing my desk now
I like how the original plugs the appleless macbook into the picture and while doing this, unplugs the dell monitor.
who is that the turtle man? Mr no neck
bad stock photo either way...
You can tell that's an old white macbook that's had the apple logo removed too. Probably in the stock photo though, not Microsofts doing.
Why is she looking away from her screen, she should be working twice as hard for half the pay and recognition.
i like how people are assuming it was a race issue.
to me the issue is that the black dude is fucking ugly. he looks like a cross between fred sanford and cleveland from family guy.
- Also, he's old. Ridiculous to think it had any racial undertones.raf
- There are no black people in Poland. It is a race issue.i_monk
- I was being sarcastic. Putting 33% Asian, 33% Caucasian and 33% Black into the img is a racial issue in the 1st place.raf
- it is definitly a race issue. get to know xenophobic Poland better, friend.janne76
- if he looked too old they might as well have shoped a younger negro face on it..janne76
- with matching handsjanne76
I used to do advertising for a fitness equipment retailer. For ads running in a certain province, I was told not to use lifestyle images or product shots with black models because that province is a racist hellhole.
While this might be a race issue, it has nothing to do with Microsoft being racist.
Also I like how people say "Microsoft" photoshopped this, when really, any company as large as MS can easily have 10 studios/production companies/agencies/shops making banners and imagery for them.
MS Paint Fail
the Polish don't like them gays and negro's. get with the program.
