You have to tell the client that stock photo will cost extra.

Alright, she has permission to use photography.
Stock photo was not included in my quote (as I said, it's off brand for them), so do I add the cost to the invoice, or am I expected to pay for that as part of the job? I've never had to add additional costs mid-project, and I though I don't think she'd fight it, I don't want there to be an issue where the final art is printed and she doesn't want to pay for the photography because it's more than my original quote.

You can start the trickle effect of "hey who did that ad? lets do something similar"
Add your portfolio / resume
- Created the rebrand / campaign for XXXX bank. Set stylistic, design and messaging which lead to a global rebrand.
- i_monk0
Their branding is controlled by the home office back in Overseasland.
- MrDinky0
I would try this out as an option and could lead to rebrand.
ALWAYS BE SELLING!!!!
- i_monk0
It isn't a rebranding, Dinky, but I appreciate the effort.

"color your financial dream come true"
- MrDinky0
How about this...
Do line art drawing with numbers on them, like a coloring book. Each number corresponds with 'steps or why this product / bank etc is good'
And if its outdoor posting, put some colored pens / markers along with it with a tagline "color your dream come true"
*I will bill you later.
- Also have colorer markers a swag to give clients and let them color it at home or on street.MrDinky

take the consultation stance and stick up for yourself!
- Countryman0
Why don't you just tell her what your going to do instead of being a little bitch.
- i_monk0
I told her photography is off-brand, so now she wants something "inbetween". Arg.

Client rejected first round illustrations, says she wants imagery similar to what HSBC is using.
Anyone know what HSBC's print ads look like at the moment? I thought they were using photography and shots of people, but I haven't seen an ad of theirs in the wild in a long time.
