My high school anthem. It's pretty timeless.

That was a great era for "industrial".

Trent Reznor Returns to Twitter, Again
First Trent Reznor quit Twitter. Then he jumped back on. Then he quit again. And last night, the Nine Inch Nails frontman once again returned to microblogging.

When this came out I was hanging out at a club named "Purity's" in Ohio. Whenever they would play "Sin" they would drop the volume when he sang "My Purity you stole" and everyone you scream PURITY'S at the top of their lungs.
Just listening to this song reminds me of black lights and crappy dancing.

The thing about microblogging is that it sucks yet it is a very effective and interesting form of writing.

...and idea sharing.

NIN was great when I was 17! I think it was by the time Korn came along that I started to find that sort of band crybabyish. U betrayed me, the police is mean, I'm feeling sad in my huge mansion, etc
- you're talking about Korn right?morilla
- Trent's lyrics come from his twisted life he led. Which I doubt anyone here can relate to at all.morilla
- Korn sucks.monospaced

I met my first love of my life at said club above that played a lot of NIN.
We moved to Colorado together and the day she told me she was moving out and moving back to Ohio I got into my car, plugged my portable CD player into my cassette player and took a long drive in the mountains listening exclusively to this CD.
It's the perfect soundtrack to a breakup.- The ultimate teen angst breakup album. That's why it meant so much to so many people in high school.monospaced

Goddamit. Realizations about how long ago I first heard this album are making my bones creak again... sigh.
