i dont get it. I mean, if I was working on publishing fashion design photography (I guess I mean I WISH I was) I would expect to be 'shopping the images all the time!
You would alway want to optimize it, wouldn't you? It's just a question of how well you do it..and perhaps this image just was not 'shopped that well?

looks shopped as far as skin, but they didnt redefine her figure like most do.
- eieio0
why does it matter anyway, its like the digital equivalent of a girl saying "hey look at me I don't have a boob job, its for charity"
- janne760
ofcourse it is shopped. where alese would they sell them?
that's what shops are for.

what jnr said. it's the lighting on the face that's makes it look like it's been retouched

any of you complainers do better? post up...

Weird blotchy black marks on her legs. The lighting is very bad.

her face is not that feminine.... definitely retouched

Could just be a snoot to the face that makes it look shopped.
- ..to blow out her face and reduce the appearance of wrinkles etc.Jnr_Madison
- A snoot to the face kinda sounds dirty...Jnr_Madison

some of you sound like conspiracy theorists... I dont see why its so hard to believe that a photographer and make up artist can take a picture worthy of being on a cover that hasn't been 'shopped.
Yes I know that a vast majority of them are, but that doesnt mean its impossible to be successful without it.
- this is true as well. Just saying retouching isn't going anywhere, and as one, I know how much is done on a regular basis.dopepope

you know there had to be shit-tons of makeup and hair done, they agonized over lighting, and at the very least there was color correction, masking and a vignette applied.
AT BEST the most they can say is "we didn't use the clone tool"
- o_O0
apparently this wasnt shopped and now all you Photoshop Retouching Designers are getting scarred that the people no longer want you.. scary times indeed!!

her head looks too small for her body is what it looks like to me

depends on their definition of Photoshopped doesn't it.
Every image in a magazine will have gone through photoshop at some point. I imagine they done colour correction on that image and from the looks of it sandblasted her face unless she's just wearing a crapload of makeup, her body might not be massively retouched I guess, so that must be their definition of 'not photoshopped'- "they done" ??? what happened to my english? I do not talk like that! typo obviouslyBaskerviIle
