I think the homepage wasn't fully realized before they launched. Looking at inside pages such as http://travel.southwest.com/trav… seem to work.

We used a different font for every passenger we flew in 2009.

Yeah I'm sorry to say the older version had way more clarity than this new version (although it's still horrible). The 4 options on the right hand side of the old site at least gave the site some kind of focus. Now its all a bit all over the place, with no real hierarchy.

the only thing which I really like is the top menu. just this element.
the rest is cluttered. travel guide looks OK, though the typography could have been better.

:(
they took out those massive links on the right... sucks

where did the black come from? why does their blue have so much purple in it? what a bunch of cluttered crapolla.

the inside pages are a bit cleaner, but still looks pretty generic 2.0.

Southwest boots Kevin Smith off a flight for being too fat - http://www.nydailynews.com/gossi…

his new smodcast about "fuck you southwest" is pretty great. in the end, after they re-seated him on a new flight, a fat girl sat next to him and they came and told her she should consider buying two seats and he just went off and is now on a big anti-southwest campaign.

man....that last version was so much better.

Marketing guy: "I want more space on the site for my department to sell things through banner ads."

all that I miss on that new SouthWest website is a little box where I can get cotton candy.
This is what it looks like to me, maybe they could integrate the mp3 from that movie and the website would be the perfect fair.
