i was just at this site yesterday and it was so much easier to use than this new mess. i'd say it's several steps backwards -- especially since the top nav is broken slightly in safari.
in general, travel sites just can't figure out how to organize information. maybe they were aiming for the comfortably mediocre center in a design-challenged industry.
