Yesterday I hit up my banks ATM machine and made a $40 withdrawal. The machine tried to spit out my money but only a little of the left side corner came out, so I pinched the corner and a wad of cash slid out from the right hand side. $200 in 20s folded in half. HUH?
There's no way a bank teller would load the machine like that so the only thing that I can think of is someone (someone dumb) tried to make a deposit of $200 by stuffing it into the money dispenser slot.
What would you do? Me, I'm probably going to take it back tonight. That or I'm going to go to the boat and lay it on black to see if I can double this bitch up!
But what if, WHAT IF, some rich guy stuffed the cash in there trying to help out the next person in line? If I return it would shit on his good gesture right?

psst... they have cameras on ATMs. They saw what you did.

If it appears to have been stuffed in there foolishly, then I would keep it. If it ATM actually gave me the $200 in error, then I would return it to the bank.

keep it. the money is insured anyway.
just be happy you were lucky. it's payback for all the times they fucked you over.

I might call the bank and tell them that I found "some" money stuffed into the machine, and if someone calls reporting it, giving an amount to call me back and I'll return it. Or the boat...

it's only 200 bucks. if they ask for it back, give it to them. if not, you got a little pocket money for the week...
i say FUCK THE BANKS, so don't try to be captain hero andget all moralistic and give it to them first. they'll just laugh at you behind the counter once you leave and nobody gives a shit about that sort of thing outside of movies anyway

Keep it.
Worse case scenario: the bank calls you and asks about it. Say you thought it was $200 from your account.

I really don't understand anyone who considers anything other than keeping it.
If it was A. some retard that tried to stuff money in the wrong way, fuck him, keep his money he deserves to lose it for being so dumb.
If its B. the bank gave out money by accident, fuck them they steal peoples money on a daily basis.
I'm a nice guy, if I find a wallet or a phone or something i'll make the effort to hand it in. But this one is a no brainer. You got lucky, enjoy it!
