i just received an email from myself, to myself and dozens of my contacts that i recognize from my gmail address book.
it included all their addresses in the to: field, and some of them were clients.
i changed my password and deleted all my gmail contacts, just in case.
anybody run into this before?
That happened to me with my Hotmail account. It spammed everyone in my address book with Viagra ads. I told everyone I was just looking out for their sexual performance.
I deleted everyone in my address book and haven't had the problem since. Embarrassing though especially with clients and exgirlfriends.
someone got your gmail logins, careful where you input them
my ex's old hotmail still sends these out. i told her, but i guess she doesn't care because i still get them.. fml
I occasionally login to my ex's gmail and send viagra ads to everyone. but that's a long story...
my ex's ex takes viagra and eats spam. does this count?
This happened to me a couple of months ago...some Chinese company sent an email to all my contacts saying that I loved their products. So, I erased all the contacts and now I just use macMail.
was it about an ipod at some ebay looking rip off? I got that one from a few people.
it was for pills.
i sometimes stay logged into gmail, perhaps something used my cookies to do it?
Looks like it is a virus of some sort, because you sent me a copy. It's some google word document selling pills. At first I was all :) then I was all :(
My gmail was sending auto replies to every email I got since this morning. I changed my password, but it looks like someone hacked into my gmail account, and created a auto response sending links to some viagra pills.
Now i'm just trying to figure out how this all happened. I'm wondering if someone hacked into my facebook account, and took it from there because a few months ago, someone did hack into my facebook account, and posted some link to everyone on my friend's list wall.
I'm running a anti virus now.
Scarabin I thought you were on a mac?
Is there a way to have gmail alert you with sound that you have a new mail? In Safari?
that virus has been going around
