Hey,
What is a cheap way to get something capable of, say, 120fps at a decent resolution? I'm looking for something that I can use to get good slow-motion at 1280x720 or better.
I've seen some Casio digicams that can do this at 640x480, but I'm looking for something higher-res. Any suggestions?

You could do cheap.... if you want quality hire a Red Camera

how slow do you want to go? what are you trying to shoot, like a bullet going though an apple or something? what camera are you using now?
- bigtrickagain0
120fps is what i'd like - i have a canon t2i which does 30fps nicely, but i'm a stills person, not a motion picture person so my expertise in this area is just about nonexistent.
- how do you like your T2i?vaxorcist
- i like it (: controls are shitty compared to 30d, but video is ace.bigtrickagain
- i feel like everyone who bought a 7d got duped - i got all of its features minus the AF points for 1/2 the pricebigtrickagain
- the AF isn't the only difference between the two cameras. that's a little ridiculous.Chief
- fine, 7d has a pentaprism and a control wheel also (:bigtrickagain

argh... It seems there's either prosumer stuff or specialized big dollar stuff and not much in between... the Casio's are nice, but smaller image at higher frame rates....

as stated above, twixtor.....

not anything specific yet, but i have ideas of, for example, circling a choreographed fight scene with a videocamera and slowing it down to 1/4 speed. so just slowing it in post is not an option here because of the changing pov.
