BUMP!
OK I am starting this today. Anyone currently on it?
I don't own a whole set of dumbells though. Just some random ones, The heaviest I have are a couple 20 pounders.

Does anyone here have a few of the Insanity DVD's ripped that I could get from them? I want to try it out, but not order the entire thing yet.
Love P90X, but not sure I want to spend more on cardio routines, so wanted to check it.

I believe it is pretty easily available on the torrents
at east it was last time I looked, but I am lazy and decided that if I downloaded it, I would have to actually try it. So I didn't.

Tried it. Lasted about a week. It's pretty intense but I could see it being well worth the effort. I am lazy though so... yeah.

I'm still on it. Recently went back to it after doing some other stuff (Jiu-jitsu training). Still love it, still kicks my ass. I think there are 2 things I'd say:
1. Push yourself hard! Don't just "do it"
2. Diet is just as important, if not more, than gym time. If you don't follow the P90X diet (I don't), make your own that works well for you, but eat smart, try to stay away from refined sugars, do whole wheat pasta.... just basic good stuff. Start reading ingredients labels.20 pounds might be good to start if you don't work out, but I think you'll quickly need more, especially for shoulders and back.
You'll need a pull up bar to, I'd say if you're serious, do the P90X one as it's much larger and more stabel than the cheaper Iron Gym ones.
- Thanks. I have all equipment. Hey do you sometimes take your daily workout to the gym? or do you HAVE to watch dvd everyday?HijoDMaite
- at home daily?HijoDMaite

I did it for a long time (maybe a couple of years? been a while), then I went onto Insanity, did that for about 5 months, then I did P90X Plus for a month or two. Then I DLed Tony Horton's One on One DVD's which are kinda ghetto. Now, I'm just going in between all of the DVD's randomly.
If you want to do Insanity and have done P90X before, you'll think the Plyometric workout in P90X is a break. Insanity is REALLY hard at first (it actually never becomes easy to do). I did it for a while and still think it's hard. I burn 800 - 1200 calories per workout, just to give you an idea. If you read the pamphlet that comes with the DVDs it says, if you can talk you're not working hard enough -- which is really true. But, it's easily the best workout out there. You'll feel like a million bucks after a couple of months. You'll think Dominique in P90X is a slacker after finishing Insanity (you'll probably think Dominique is a madman after doing P90X).
After all of this, I still think the Yoga-X workout in P90X is still the 'hardest' workout overall to do. Yes, yoga.

my wife did it. Didn't bother with the nutrition plan, since we have healthy eating habits to begin with, but she loved the workouts.

I'm doing it now and it is intense. I'm not a morning person so I've actually been stretching out a week routine to two weeks. I just don't have the time some evenings. So I've decided if I'm gonna follow to a tee (an hour plus every day) then I need to switch to working out in the mornings. Haven't been successful with that thus far LOL but hey... anything is better than nothing.

To your comment question: I do my weights at a gym. I ripped the DVD's onto my iPhone, and got an armband thing for it. I know all the moves, so just put on headphones and listen.
Also, buy a yoga mat, I didn't for the first month, but damn did it make a difference once I did it.
- ok so that's what I was wondering about. I'll be able to memorize workouts so I can take them to gymHijoDMaite
- if you can get a buddy to do it, it works better to push each other... otherwise you really have to push yourself hardjfletcher
- so try and hit the gym when lots of hot girls go... helps you :Djfletcher
