I posted this at the Concrete5 forums too, but haven't had any responses.
I just went through the checkout process. The products are listed properly in the cart. That is until it's redirected to Paypal. I noticed that the cart has the item in it, and it's called: "Purchase from Whatever.com - Order #30"
Anyway, isn't it supposed to show the actual product name itself? Does it show up differently to the person shipping stuff out? Either way, the customer should be able to see their exact items in their Paypal cart before finalizing the purchase.
Thanks for any help!

I don't rightly know J, but is there any reference to that line in the view.php file of the ecomms block?
Might be that concrete is generating the order number dynamically with the 'purchase from' just tacked on in the php, as opposed to having a unique ref to the purchased item in the code.

I'll look into that for sure.

Anyone else have an idea?

are you using website payments standard, or is it just the basic paypal service? I don't think the basic one itemizes things, just sends the total.

is the paypal account you're using a verified business account with website payments standard?
- Jaline0
No idea. I'll have to check with him.

you can also set up a sandbox account with paypal for testing

Yeah, I'm going to test it out now. He just changed his account to a business one and selected "website payments standard", and still no dice.

Hmm...I just noticed that the same thing happens with other carts on the Internet using the same service. So perhaps, because you're entering all your billing and shipping info on the site itself and only paying with Paypal, you're not supposed to change anything in the cart through Paypal. You have to go back to the site you purchased from to make any changes.
