Was in Tesco and the off-licence had been emptied with the exception of about 8 x 6 packs of Smithwicks. The mind boggles at all the pissy lager that must have left the shelves to leave this. I dunno how big it is outside Ireland (I think I remember drinking it in Canada). Used to be my tipple of choice before the craft beer explosion spoilt us for choice... Anyway, I've had 5 in me and just opened the last one in me and i'm getting emotional because I could easilly put away another few tonight. Onward, to the strong stuff!
- love it - delish!pedromendez
- I used to like Smithwicks, only ever drunk it in Ireland though.PhanLo
- this was my dads favorite beer but before they re designed the label.fooler

- I wish I liked whiskey but I just find it so god awfully hideous. Do people really like it or do they just convince themselves they do?set
- It really depends. I have a hard time with the Scottish stuff, but find many Irish whiskeys, as well as American Bourbons and Ryes pleasant to drink.Continuity
- Like anything else, if it's shit quality, it'll take utterly vile.Continuity

- ^ not really true... I know what Set means - just cannot drink it - makes me retch, yet excessively drink pretty much any other alcohol.fadein11
- all alcohol tastes like shit but i find whiskey the easiest to tolerate. many are downright pleasurable and after one or two you don't care anywayscarabin
- Start with the Glenkinchie. Bourbon is rough cheap crap. http://www.scotchmal…monoboy
- I definitely wouldn't agree with "all alcohol tastes like shit "set
- give a shot to anyone not programmed to enjoy the idea of alcohol and every one of them will make a "this tastes like shit" facescarabin
- Well "a shot" is not "all alcohol"set
- For instance a pint of ale or cider can taste fabulousset
- Not to mention to wineset
- again, give that stuff to kids not inoculated with alcohol==cool and they'll make faces. but you get my pointscarabin
- i'm not referring to stuff that's a mere 5-14% alcoholscarabin
- i used to drink gin like water but that was bad for everyones health. got the better half a bottle of this bulleit bourbon and it was well received. personallygilgamush
- i find whiskey to taste the way turpentine smells. currently i am drinking a south point pilsner. big fan of dark pilsnersgilgamush

Took our son to the doctors and he needs more iron. So we started making smoothies for him in the morning with spinach, coconut water, bananas, dates and almonds. So fucking good we now make loads and share it.
Also, mezcal

WINE BAGS. DARK RED. OFF WHITE. PINK-ISH. DOESN'T MATTER. BAGS COME IN A BOX. JUST THROW THE BOX AWAY. ALL YOU NEED IS THE BAG. AND A MOUTH.

- huh, i'd've written that off as a bit of a gimmick. It looks from here more like bagged wine, not that I have a problem with that, if it's ok! :)Nairn
- (one of the nicest wines I ever had was a beaujolais brought back to the UK from a winery in a plastic petrol-type container)Nairn
- It's a nice wine for "everyday", a cup for lunch, another for dinner, lasts two weeks easy, and without oxidation...OBBTKN
- And ideal for bbq with friends, specially if you've got a bunch of basque countryside animals for friends, lol ;)OBBTKN
- Ahh, it IS in a plastic bag! d'oh - I misread your decription. I thought it actually came in a small oak barrel :) I've etched on a few those for clients.Nairn
- “El de la cuarentena” ;)maquito
