was chilling on my Sister in law's front yard shooting the shit when we noticed a loud bird ruckus in the tree across the street.
Loud bird calls like we've never heard before, then two large Blue Jays fly in and out, and we think it's pretty cool, rarely see them, great birds, so we figure they're mating or something, then out of the tree flies a hawk carrying what appeared to be a baby blue jay and goes right over our heads. The adult blue jays were in close pursuit trying to rescue their baby, they flew over our house and into the distance.
Pretty surreal and makes you realise just how cold-blooded nature really is lol.
- Blue jays are known to kill and eat other birds and bird eggs.i_monk
