I'm not sure what I think of this. These products look nice, but they remind me of the science fiction stories where humankind has recolonized the moon, but inside enormous domes that have simulated Earth-like ecosystems. In other words, it's essentially fake and blatantly nostalgic. Makes me a little sad.

lol, seems a bit contrived

I dunno, I kinda like them.
Could be a million times worse.

I guess at the end of the day I'd rather have an actual working Dieter Rams-designed clock than a hunk of wood to plug my gadget into [snicker].

at the end of the day both end up in a landfill

Seems quite wasteful. My iPhone makes a great alarm clock without some manufactured wood facade around it.

- an exemplary consumer judging the consumerist choices of another? say it ain't so :(logi
- sadly enough, logi has a pointd_rek
- I think dMullins was commenting on the product itself. Not on the consumerist that purchases it.tymeframe
- i could care less what someone else does with their money. seems pointless to me though.dMullins

The burning question:
WHEN CAN I GET IT FOR MY ANDROID PHONE AND WILL IT HAVE FLASH??!??
- utopian0
It seems like many people are to busy accessorizing iPhones, iPads, houses, cars, attire, Wordpress themes, blogs, etc... instead of creating anything that is innovative, new or meaningful...

Damn, I can be such a hater.
I'd bet the creator is more concerned with making a fun contrasting product rather than worried about it's marketability.
If you have the skills to craft something like this, I'm sure you have other eggs in other baskets.
- dbloc0
not into it.
- animatedgif0
pointless seen as you have to run an application on your iPhone all night to make it actually function as an alarm clock.
- i blame the device, not the wood for that shortcominglogi

Absolute faggotry
- In the evolved sense of course. Nothing to do with homosexuality! :PSneakybadger2

I agree. With everyone.

Perfectly acceptable if you're old enough to have used the analogue ancestor. It's called nostalgia. It's legitimate.
If you aren't old enough, then you're a hipster.
