for sure. he's awesome.
- I'm not sure if he should be your idol, once you get out of LA club scene he's just another junkie.robotron3k
- <--robo--- what a stupid commentcbass99

I like this guy, but there is something wrong with him - neurologically most likely. At first I just thought he was coked up.
- Na, just some dude trying very hard to be original and different. Nothing ive never seen before on the tables.CygnusZero4

ADD probably.
- CyBrainX0
Yeah, that's what I thought when he started talking about how he always got in trouble and was always moving around.
- Typical story, wanna make a bet he was a nerd and now he's trying hard to fit in to a scene he was never part of.robotron3k

just how do you get away with styling yourself like that and not getting your head kicked in?
I mean, say his gran dies - is he gonna turn up to the funeral looking like that?
twat for trying too hard with his image.

Yeh, I liked what he was saying about putting in the time and the energy and pushing yourself and being energetic, and particularly the thoughts about rocking 100 people in a basement who are really into your shit - small venues, smoky basements, not famous, demanding clued up crowds who are there to show off or be seen - that's where music movements are made, that's the white heat of the music industry - everything else is crap, crap, crap. PR, labels, press releases, music videos, interviews, talking about music, photo shoots and rising profiles, fame and infamy, sex drugs and rock and roll, the show on the road, the girls, the reputations, the dissing, the money, success - all of it bullshit, and secondary. 1 dj pushing a room of people and them feeding back that energy and acting like one crazy whooping screaming thing when the right beat, bass or sound comes in at just the right time - that's what real in (dance) music, and if you're a dj or involved in electronic music to any extent and you don't realise this, get tuned in, cause there's no point otherwise.
I would cite the actual footage that's going alongside what he's saying as an example of what a good gig is NOT. Girls stood around with their bags on their shoulders laughing, endless lines of people stood in the middle of what should be the sweet spot of the dance floor peering through cameras, or holding up phones, taking pictures of people looking at people taking pictures, endless fucking phones and talking and posing and bullshit. Shut the fuck up, put your fucking phone away, turn the lights off and listen. Fuck. You wonder why the fucking dance music scene died. People with fucking phones in clubs, that's why. Websites full of people having their photo taken and looking like cool twats in clubs, instead of losing their minds.- wall of text, people still make these?CygnusZero4
- agree with every word you say miko._me_
- Long form journalism lives. As does long form forum posting. Not like the old days, but still.

Gaslamp killer (Will) is one of the coolest DJs in LA. He sets off so many parties. He's also an incredible person (I've met him - but he's close to my best friend). There's nothing wrong with his brain. He's just really hype and that's part of what makes him so fun to run into or catch a conversation with. I'm pretty stoked he's become a DJ known worldwide now. He travels a ton (especially overseas). If you see him rocking a party near you, you should go.
- and props to Kevin (noMSG) the video is looking good.shellie

he was one of the groomsmen in my friend's wedding a few weekends ago

saw him down here in melbourne, played with DamFunk and FlyLo--- such a nuts crew- loved it. Sometimes really wish was in the states or over in the UK where this music is brewing -- a pretty dead scene here.

I am pretty sure he's a san diego native. Saw him open up for 12th planet down here. it was okay, he was super twitchy and his songs reflected that. Wasn't really my style.
- I could totally be wrong about the san diego thing. just so you know. I think i've heard it though.capn_ron
- his stuff on sound cloud is good, not twitchyHijoDMaite

yeah man, he was from san diego!
I did a couple of gig with him when he had long dreads and went by "willow"He's not a friend but I met him a couple of times in the past and he is a nice guy, crazy to see him blow up like that, I mean... when you have your own QBN thread that pretty much qualifies you as a star these days doesn't it?
At least for those of us not reading perez blog or tmz

Always loved this video. Great place to do a set. Shame nobody seems to be that interested in his music though.

he rocks, and drinks a lot

1. Vimeo is crazy slow.
2. This dude's style is like every kid walking around upper brooklyn.
3. Who makes a video about a DJ that doesn't have any actual DJ sets?
