Illustrator Gradient in a Shape

  Hey guys... im in a jam.. i need to get a vectorized version of this star, but I have NO IDEA how to get the star to have the gradient in photoshop.

  

  If I use an inner glow type thing it looks like this (ignore the color) but it just doesnt have the same 'shape' its more soft...

  

  Any help is mad appreciated. Ill paypal you u $5.

  u know i think i figured it out.

  1. repeat the shape, paste in front
  2. shrink to the inside of the big one
  3. apply color and gaussian blur to preference.

  • Doesn't it defeat the point a little - creating a vector version and adding a raster effect?MrT
  • pretty sure that raster effect has the same limitations as a raster image in terms of printing it out. be careful.dopepope
