"Adobe® Shadow is a new inspection and preview tool that allows front-end web developers and designers to work faster and more efficiently by streamlining the preview process, making it easier to customize websites for mobile devices."
Cant get it to work personally, but haven't really given it a good attempt yet. I've heard good things though.
Was toying around with it yesterday. It does make for easier debugging especially on multiple test devices. It's infinitely faster than firing up terminal, spinning up your machine into a webserver, changing your internal DNS to point internal network traffic to your machine and then testing.
And don't even get me started on virtual testing environments - those are practically worthless compared to a real device.
All in all - this is one of the most useful tools Adobe has cooked up in a long time.
Adobe does something good for the first time in 10 years
- Wait for them to make it part of Illustrator.i_monk
- really? Adobe has done nothing for you in 10 years?CyBrainX
I think there's a similar app already out there for syncing your mobile devices to your desktop browser, but it's only for macs. I forget the name of it at the moment though, but supposedly a lot of people like it. Will post again if I can remember.
