But however will people with little to none of their own taste ensure people know what brand they're wearing from afar?
That logo's far too generic.

guys that's the rebranding of Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, the ready to wear line of YSL.
it's now called Saint Laurent Paris but YSL remains YSL.

Sad thought, but perhaps the intention was to remove the strong icon, so it can't be oversized on cheap t-shirts and worn by chavs. No matter how nice your logo, some slapper with a Croydon facelift wearing a big version of it can't be good for a classic high-fashion brand...
- chav slapper?monospaced
- That doesn't make much sense tbh. how does this solve the issue?attentionspan
- The don't have a strong icon to be abused, basically.MrT

No soul.
Nice box though, wonder what card/paper they use..

At least leave the "YSL" as a watermark or as a blind embossing FFS.

"Despite early reports to the contrary, this new name change will not affect all areas of the company – only the ready-to-wear line. The Yves Saint Laurent cosmetics line will keep its name, for example, and the official company name will not change."
Like spl33nidoru said up there.
