anyone get this and have a workaround?

Nothing i tried ever worked. It got to the point where every movie i was DLing was causing the warning to come up.
I ended up buying a WDTV Live Media player and have not looked back. Just so much easier. I will be swapping the media player out with my Ouya once it gets here. :)

you can always get a dvi to hdmi cable and just run your mac to your tv and use it as a second or mirror monitor. skip the PS3 completely
- thats what i do for the Cinavia coded crap, the only thing that sucks is my mac doesnt have a remote, so my lazy ass has to get upmoldero
- get upmoldero
- perhaps a bluetooth keyboard?monospaced

wordup, i think the key here is 'skip the PS3 completely'. Just not worth it unfortunately.

I tried for a long time to bypass that crap, even Cams dont work, its some kind of audio freq that the PS3 detects. I found nothing that works,
this is what I do now.
if a movie makes this list: http://blog.dvdfab.com/cinavia-p…
I just dont put it on my PS3 external drives. Ill watch it though my tv via my mac

what a pain in the ass, cheers guys, looks like mostly sony movies too what a bunch of dicks.

the worst is when you get into it, then the audio cuts out after 20 minutes.

if only there was a way of avoiding these setbacks... like if the movie came on a disc with the audio encoded correctly to the video or something.

What about streaming to your PS3 via PS3media server? I've streamed tons of stuff from my iMac to PS3 without issue.
Granted, you have to compromise on the quality if you're trying to stream in HD. But I figure if i'm downloading stuff for free it's a small sacrifice.
