I kept on seeing his name so I googled him, is he for real?
I went to his youtube channel and listened to some of his tracks,
seriously, is he for real?
Rest, Georges. The answers are coming
I'll be waiting,
it seems the debate (from what I've read) over his style is that it's too white, too college prep, too not aggressive enough (??),
personally I don't listen to hiphop anymore because of the whole thuglife destructive mentality that took over and ruined the genre and I'm pretty ok with more macklemore than lil wayne
He seems like a cool guy... what part confuses you?
- he seems to be a huge celebrity, yet I haven't heard of him anywhere till last week, am I too old ?? :)GeorgesIV
- nah, I just heard of him like 4 weeks ago, but I listen to metal... but I guess his album seems goodjfletcher
- or so I've heard. Few songs I listened to I liked since it wasn't the "bithces and money" style of rap.jfletcher
Your teenage daughter with an identity crisis loves Macklemore.
macklemore has been around for a minute minute
my girl likes this song, and so do i
new mac miller is unexpectedly good in spots. can i talk about other white rappers in this thread?
not that up on it, but the story is not that new. Guy appeared out of nowhere, made song, and music content aside, he managed to get his big single to TOP the billboard chart. First time in forever that an unsigned act had done that. SO there's a really strong independent vibe about him and the new world power of youtube/online/new generation of kids and different label relationship.
Other than that after seeing his interview on Colbert Report, I sort of wrote him off as a sort of hipster guy grown up in a mainstream hip hop world with not that much originality.
i think it's shit.
My bf showed me this video earlier tonight, it's pretty funny:
He's come out of nowhere to being really popular this year.
I really like his stuff. He's got some great music videos.
^^^ This has been my favourite running track for a good few months now
^^^ Probably my favourite song of theirs overall
saw 2 trailers at the cinema last night and each one had that Thrift Shop song as the main intro and background music to plug it - The Internship and Pain & Gain
it's shit. reminds of wanna-be rappers on america's got talent or idols.
