anyway.. if you have one, be aware that their AMD graphics cards die.
mine is just over 2 years old and its cactus.
no apple care, lots of threads on the discussion boards about the issue, yet no recall.lame as fuck.

Sorry about that. It's a bad idea to keep out-of-warranty electronics, and particularly expensive devices like computers. I learned it the hard way.
Apple hardware resell value is so good, it pays to upgrade every year. You get an up-to-date computer with fresh warranty and only have to add roughly about what you'd pay for apple care anyway.
Last year, I sold a macbook air after 14 months of use, got 90% of what I had paid for it back.

Im pretty sure they have a repair program for this. Even if you're out of Apple Care or warranty you can still get it fixed for free.

If it's widespread though they usually do recalls, for example this year they did one to recall 2011 iMacs
