I'm writing a blog post about best branding of 2013
a kind of end-of-year round up.The bad moments - yahoo etc are easy.
But what's your favourite new brand/experience/rebrand of this year? For example, after using it for a while, I actually grew to like ios7, when I see people with the old os it seems antiquated in comparison now.

iOS 7 is still atrocious. You suffer from a mental condition that makes you feel sympathy and even positive feelings to something bad over time. Like when a girl locked in a dungeon starts feeling sympathy for her rapist.
- not really branding either. part of a brand but not branding per sefadein11

Let the girl in your basement go. And stop being so rapey.

iOS7 is a brand experience. Yes, maybe I have stockholm syndrome about it. So give me some better examples. Doesn't have to be graphic design as branding, can be experiential.

In the app world, here are some app designs that were really standout:
• Expedia
• Timehop (updates)
• City Guides (by Rally Interactive—a must see)
• Circadia (interesting game design)
• Mosaic (interesting utility app)
• Word Lens (very neat)
• Strossel (designer friendly news and music)
• Argus (fitness app with a twist)
• Circa (great news app with cool interactions and concept)
• Splyce (neat music app that does a good job of DJing)

"So, one weekend this summer, I rolled up my sleeves and dove into the trenches with our logo design team: Bob Stohrer, Marc DeBartolomeis, Russ Khaydarov, and our intern Max Ma. We spent the majority of Saturday and Sunday designing the logo from start to finish, and we had a ton of fun weighing every minute detail. "
