I'm trying to figure out whats really starting this. There are some talks thts it same people behind egypt. not sure its true. but also heard it was more about joining the eu... In my view not appealing if you look at other coutries who joined. eu will become same centralized bullshit nightmare like in the US

Yuri, the story goes in this direction :
Peaceful protests started around last november. They were over concern over some human rights violations among other things.
However, the Ukraine govt spent alot of money that they didnt have. So, the EU said ok we'll help you, but here is our terms. The terms were in favor of the EU & NATO obviously, thats how these things go.
Then Russia got wind of this, and told Ukraine 'if you sign this, there will be hell' (in so many words). What you have here is the Ukraine being used as a middle pawn between sides here. Especially since there has been tension between NATO and Russia for some time. Its sad because there are really people in the Ukraine that are fighting for a cause, but they are caught here. Unlike here in the US, in most other countries, when people are fed up, they protest, riot, and generally come together against the powers that be, and not just sit on a couch watching it.
Im sure you've also heard about the cryptic text messages that Ukraine protestors were getting saying "Hi, we see you are involved in a mass disturbance."
This was sent out via their govt (and im sure plenty of spying agencies). Which raises concerns over how they are allowed to do this and the extent they are willing to go to surpress/scare people. Both sides (EU/Washington & Russia) have an agenda here. Ukraine is caught in the middle of this. Damned if you do, damned if you dont.

Thanks for posting. I've been seeing the photo journals, but no one was really explaining the full situation.

Seems like a pretty crazy situation—best of luck.
Makes you wonder how much abuse people in the "United" States will take before something like that happens here. But then here's a good opinion on that: "Why There's no Outcry" http://robertreich.org/post/7451…
- It will never happen in the states, never,GeorgesIV
- really don't even lose sleep over it, just look at the nsa leaks, huxley said it best: "A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude.GeorgesIV

Hargbine, anytime. That last robert reich piece was good.
Id like to add a '4th' bullet to his and go so far as to say that our govt and its cohorts have spent alot of time , money, and effort into making the general mass of people here believe that they (govt) are the ones keeping the bad guys out, and helping to make tomorrow possible. Its kind of like the strategy of tension. you put people in fear first, then you come to their rescue.
He's right though, the american people need something to care about. Yes, youd think things like net neutrality, GMO, spying, war crimes, govt shutdowns, banking etc would rattle the cage enough, but most of the US has been deprived of actual truth for so long that they almost dismiss it.
Those who start to learn or already know become cynical like he said. Then we have things like shootings every now and then, that are poised as 'oh this guy hated society', and they end up dead, so who wants to rebel when the result is in front of you ? (so to speak).
I do hope one day soon that we wake up though.- Hey, Cheerios doesn't have GMO's anymore. I call that progress! We care! :-)formed
