Thankfully, Rand Paul and company was not able to stop the debt ceiling update.
I am not sure if I am glad the lunacy looks to be over (though Cruz is still spouting his propaganda) or if I'd rather the R's just continue to destroy their party from the inside.
Either way, good to know that the economy won't be sabotaged again.

Yet Rand's followers lap it up while at the same time frequently wishing their elected leaders would do something, anything to solve our problems. Rand Paul is a joke; between this and the recent retread of the Clinton / Lewinsky scandal, it's obvious he just wants attention, and he'll do it at the expense of performing his actual job. What a joke.
