any opinion on IVPN?
www.IVPN.netI like how you don't need email to get an account.
and has an option for 1 week for 2USD.

https://www.tunnelbear.com/ is great other than the fact that it disallows any/all torrent-related activity.

Maybe better to roll your own with openvps on a virtual Linux box (digital ocean, line, et al)
- I've looked into personal VPN two, found these resources https://whatsabyte.c…emphor

TunnelBear vs. Nord VPN https://nordvpn.com?
What do you all use?- Still using PIA since it was posted above. No ragrets.DRIFTMONKEY
- hah! thanksnotype
- I use NORD VPN. The only issue Ive ever had was when trying to live stream on BBC on certain nights. So it depends on what you use it for.jmckinno
- Nord is great. ExpressVPN was the one I used.mugwart

What's the verdict in 2020?
I'm using Betternet trial right now, it's quite fast however I'd like to choose one of your favorites before going premium. I pretty much live online so privacy & security is my main goal with VPN's.
- Still using PIA (Private Internet Access). For my needs it has never been an issue, but I'm sure there are others that are also good.evilpeacock

Used privateinternetaccess but switched to PureVPN.
Both were/are a breeze.--- But if you're concerned about 'them Canadian hackers, if have something extremely valuable on your machine, there's more you need to do than simply getting a vpn connection.
Trash your phone, get Tor, set up your network monitor and you're still accessible you spy, you. What are you concerned about, really? :)
If you just want to somewhat sweep your tracks then vpn is fairly fine.

What frightened me a bit was the official response to the Canadian story. The CESC was like, "Oh, we are just testing a program for the NSA. But, we're authorized to track anyone we want. It's our mandate."
Then, later, they were like, "We weren't tracking people, we were only tracking their phones." Lulz.

I've used this for an year, mainly because I was traveling a lot and needed to keep access to UK and US blocked region sites, their VPN quality and speed impressed me.

Re-bumping this post, as I just found a super in-depth guide that covers all this: http://fried.com/privacy .
Main consideration you should take on for choosing a VPN is to go for a provider that is not based out of the US or the UK (HideMyAss, for example, is not one of these) since such VPN providers are under strict jurisdiction and law to keep logs of -- and/or handover -- user data.

Mulvad . No tracking. Works on mobile and desktop. Pick your location. Anonymous purchasing. Cheap

Been wondering about VPNs for a while and I finally gave ExpressVPN a try, works for what I need, plus there's a 1 week trial if you want to test the waters.

So.. Insert a DNS on your stationary PC, and make a hotspot (if you have a wifi-card) with an virtual IP..
On your labby, make some else DNS on that, and then use Onion (TOR-browser)..IPs will be:
1. Your ISP
2. Virtual IP (between PC's)
3. DNS (lets say: 1.1.1.1/1.0.0.1)
4. Another DNS on the other PC (208.67.222.123/208.67.220.123)
5. Use a proxy (psiphon3 is free)
6. Use Tor Browser it uses 3 random IPs.I like to change my MAC for some odd reason, and i do that once a month, for that i use Mac Changer: https://technitium.com/tmac/
This works fine for me!

I've been using Hide My Ass ProVPN for two years now. Worldwide servers, bandwidth is seldom lower than 600 kbps. Currently living in a country that blocks access to many sites and monitors torrent activity closely.
