Can we discuss Noah 2014BC ?
of all the bible stories to make a person realize the bible is just a bunch of made up bullshit, the flood story has to be top 3.
20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it. 21 The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, even though[i] every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.
Hmmmmm doesn't that contradict all of this stuff just a bit?
I also loved that the villain was the embodiment of Christian entitlement (God made all of the earth for me to do with as i please)
I heard it has giants or trolls or some shit...does noah get the ring back to mordor?
Saw this the other day. First half was great, second half a bit tedious and the ending left a lot to be desired.
Worth a watch. 3 stars.
is this movie the prequel to jack and the giant slayer?
It looks absolutely absurd and pointless. Bible-based stories seem like the last thing we should be sensationalizing into action-packed films.
yea, worth a watch, pretty movie, good acting and stuff..
very strong images also.... i liked it, good to watch on a plane with nothing else to do
It's funny that such a high percentage of Americans (maybe other countries too) think Noah is real or at least pretty real, while they recognize stories like Harry Potter and The Hobbit are completely make-believe.
oh god that fucking talent-lite typecast halfwit mongrel Ray Winstone's in it being his usual acting self.
The scene with the angels cast down to earth was awesome
I saw this the other day and thought beyond it's ridiculousness it was actually a really good film. It's funny when folk go on about it's credibility, like the original story was factual. Again though, Aronofsky makes a thought provoking, mental as fuck film. And pisses off the God bros too. I wanna see it again.
The Noah story is a common one that precedes the Bible.
it ended with a rainbow.
Magic Grandpa and the Rock People... just like in the bible!
