    Lots of glitch AE posts on – I've been through them.
    Does anyone know in particular what items / expressions are used to create similar to these...

    This is Form + Mir?

    No idea how to stretch pixels like this one...

    #t=64s {1.03}

    Looking for very fine horizontal displacements- any suggestions?

    Danke.

    hey man, i don't quite get what you want to know... but here's my shot:

    the first video is a 3d particle simulation, its very complex, the way it is simulated is a new form of simulation that is out there.

    and I don't see any glitch on that video, its just grain and particles simulations and a lot of depth of field goin on.

    the second one, its using a glitch technique called data moshing, or data mosh... it is made by leaving the codec greate the intermediate frames with compression and stuff, they use virtual dub to do it, theres a bunch of video tutorials on how to do it.

    about stretching pixels like that, you can make a 1px precomp and then just freaking scale it...so every pixel that goes thru that will become a stretched thing.

    but i think theres a native plugin that does just that, gotta search tho...displacement map is a good shot
