Evening/Afternoon gentlemen and ladies of the interwebs.
I am wanting to buy a new lens, one mainly for landscapes..
I don't mind it being either a prime or a tele.
I use a canon 6D and already own the 35mm and 50mm 1.4f art lenses...
i have cash but not never ending amounts... just wanted some ideas, as i don't want to spunk a load of money on something shitty!
cheers guys and gals

- I had this in my shopping cart for the past 2 months, ended up getting something else that was better rated for my cam (BMCC) because of the fucking crop factormoldero
- What's the BMCC like?
What do you use it mostly for?-kappa- - I haven't used it yet I bought it a month ago it's still waiting for me in San Diego, with some lenses and a decent rigmoldero
- I bought one b4 but I returned it because of the over 1080 file size thing, but now, theres no getting around it + 2.5k+ is better for compositing, framing, somoldero
- much more possibilitiesmoldero
- most of my work in the past besides shooting stock was music videos, but the new town im in the music scene is null so I guess ill have to seemoldero

16-35 is amazing..
my workhorse is still the 24-70 for video, but the 16-35 is my favourite when it comes to walking around shooting..- also 2.8 is niceautoflavour
- i've been looking at the 16-35 f4 looks nice, no need for the f2.8 as it'll be on a tripod most of the time and f4 is corner to corner sharp, what i need!cruddlebub

Buy a 6X6 analogue for your landscapes. Or better yet: a 6X9.

You have a 6D, so the 10-22 won't work on that camera.
The old 20-35 F3.5-4.5 is very nice, and not nearly as pricey as the 16-35 or similar, and if you're thoughtful, the results can be great.

and the infamous Ken says:

http://www.fredmiranda.com/revie…if you use Lightroom, you can probably auto-correct the inevitable wide angle barrell distortion.

see how you like the focal length...get used to wide anglevaxorcist - does the 6d have a crop mode that is till high res? I'd consider the sigma 16-35 1.8 if the resolution is still good at a crop on the 6d. kind of a hack thoughjaylarson
