So do people still think Trump will get out of it?
I think I called it correctly a couple months ago, it actually is the end of Trump this time. He's currently under investigation for multiple aspects of January 6th, walking off with dozens of classified documents and business fraud. All while the GOP finally abandons him.
There will be years of trials coming up, multiple trials for different crimes. It will be really interesting to see what comes out of that.
- you or I would already be in jail or on trial for half the stuff he has done. He's going to walk free and keep playing golf at Larda Largo.capn_ron
- As long as he's not president again I don't really care that much, although it would be funny to see Trump go to prison.yuekit
- I would probably celebrate watching him be perp-walked by agents. But yeah, i don't care if he plays god in Florida forever as long as he is never pres again.capn_ron
- I think it's possible an even worse scandal will emerge once they start investigating more.yuekit
- Like what was actually going on with Kushner and Saudi Arabia?
https://www.nytimes.…yuekit - I’m with you all but I’m pessimistic and think he’s gonna run and get a shitload of voting support GOP be damned.monospaced
- I’ll take anything as long as he isn’t president again. I just don’t see the GOP in power right now having the spine to do something this time.monospaced
- he needs to be in jail with that naked black dude meme as his cell mate_niko
- I think that's too pessimistic monospaced. Trump has finally lost the support of most Republicans. He's no longer even leading in the polls for the GOP primary.yuekit
- That means blood in the water and makes it more likely IMO that the Justice Department will charge him.yuekit
- I hope so.monospaced
- If the GOP truly rejects him — which I’m not fully convinced of — who are they behind? It matters because if they back someone else they guarantee a Dem win.monospaced
- Seems like DeSantis is the choice of Republican elites and donors. You can always see when the media starts floating someone's name like that, yuekit
- but it could be someone else too. All the guys who ran for president last time like Ted Cruz and Chris Christie would probably run again.yuekit
- Word.monospaced
- DeSantis will run.ShenanigansTV

One of the stranger stories in recent times is how this Chinese billionaire living in exile, Guo Wengui, became so close with Trump and his people. He hired Steve Bannon to work for him, helped fund Jan 6th and was the first person to release the Hunter Biden files.
He and Bannon spread a lot of disinfo during the pandemic using the same techniques that Bannon learned when he ran Cambridge Analytica as it talks about here...
There's a lot of debate in the Chinese community about who this person Guo Wengui really is and what his motives are. I was talking with someone who used to work for their organization and they told me Guo is really just the front man for more powerful people in the CCP. They claimed that this faction of the CCP was engaged in a power struggle with Xi Jinping's faction and made an alliance with Trump's people.
I don't know if their interpretation is true or not but it wouldn't surprise me if we find out Trump was making all kinds of corrupt deals like this with people around the world as president.
- Or the whole 'living in exile' is bullshit and he's doing CCP's bidding?Nairn
- That's what people think, but it's more complicated... they claim he was working for one faction of the CCP that controls the oil industry in China and runsyuekit
- some of the security services. They said this guy was the leader of that faction.
https://en.m.wikiped…yuekit - Basically the Chinese government isn't as unified as it appears. When Xi took power he didn't control entire agencies that were run by opposing groups.yuekit
- So CCP is like a modern day Illuminati or Knights Templar that fights behind the scenes...and this doesn't stay within the borders of China at all.yuekit
- Anyway who knows but American journalists are starting to investigate...yuekit

Though Trump has cultivated an image of a wildly successful businessman, and bragged about paying little in taxes, he appears to do that mostly by reporting big losses.
In 2015, JCT said, Trump reported making more than $50 million, through a combination of capital gains, interest, dividends and other earnings. That was offset though by more than $85 million in reported losses.
- NBQ001
He paid $0 taxes in 2020 and only $750 in 2016/2017 each. Between 2015 and 2018 he had about $250M losses.
