Look Islam is a shit religion. Full of bigots, Misogynists and racists.
Maybe in America thy love the lord Jesus, but on the whole Europe is increasingly secular with clear divisions between state and church.
Islam and Islamism is incompatible with liberal democracy and always has been.
If they think they can import their 16th century fuckwittery they are going to be in for a rude shock.

I can understand people of a certain faith being upset and condemning negative portrayals of their beliefs. Especially when they've been born and raised into it. If you believe in someones right to practice any belief they wish, it's also understandable to condemn sweeping statements against people based on their religious beliefs.
BUT to deem another persons faith as inherently peaceful, be it any religion, is in some part supporting the others belief in the infallibility of their religion. And if you objectively look at any abrahamic religion they are filled with extreme violence. Even with the violence in those books, we clearly still see people that are peaceful, generous, love their families and friends.
We also undeniably see people inspired by their faiths to perpetrate violence and power over others. Why? Because we've fucking human beings. We are animals. We are tribal. We evolved by surviving against an unapologetically brutal environment. Hundreds of thousands of years just trying to survive and thrive. We are not inherently peaceful by any means. To deny the potential for faith to inspire violence is denying our humanity.

The West, and not just the US, has been swinging wildly all over the world, so it's hard to believe that the possibility of massive migrations like this along with culture clashes didn't raise any alarms. It's possible, but I find it hard to believe world leaders with all their access to wealth, power, and intelligence didn't even consider this as a possibility like many warned.
There's a lot of blame to go around but let's be honest here. It's not simply just the west. It's naive to think that the many repressive regimes aren't equally as culpable in their greed and violent conquest. These wars have sure as shit made things worse but it's not like people in some of these countries share the same values. Respect for woman is a big one and that's not just because 'merica.

A perfect example that you can be very rich but still selfish and cheap. Too bad that this is done in the name of entire nations by the hands of governments. What a shame. What good would it bring to strip these unfortunate people off their last safety nets. Government officials mercifully agreed to apply some exceptions for items with sentimental values like wedding rings !!!! Very nice of them ! What will come next ?
