Anyone out there know of any programs/plugins that scan your font library and automatically catagorises them?
Basically I've moved to a new studio using Universal Type, it's great for ensuring everyone has access to the same fonts, but not so great when it comes to organising them.
I know I can set up my own sets and do it manually, but that would take years. Looking for a shortcut basically.
HALP!

I use Font Explorer, it has a feature called Smart Sets which is exactly what it sounds like. It falls apart if your fonts aren't legit or the foundry didn't include the right metadata.
Would imagine extensis does something similar.
- - a quick look at their site shows they do (at least in principal) with their manager, suitcase fusion.ben_

Thanks Ben, just done a bit of rooting around and, whilst it's not perfect, Smart Sets in Universal Type Client do seem to do what I want. Will take some fiddling around to get the right combinations of filters, but a definite step in the right direction.
Cheers for pointing me in the right combination!

Brain scrambled.TOMMYxGUNN - no problem, glad it helped. FEX isn't perfect either, for what it's worth.ben_
